Susan Jean Lustenberger Bento was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She left this world on Sunday, November 26, 2023, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's.

Susan was born on November 18, 1950, to Donald and Mary Lustenberger in San Francisco, California.

She was always a "California girl" at heart and lived an active life.  At one time, she enjoyed such pastimes as surfing, beach volleyball, water skiing, and boogie boarding.  When she moved to the Midwest, she traded in her beach sports for such activities as biking, staying fit at her local gym, but most of all golfing, which she excelled in.

Susan is survived by her loving husband, Frank (Tony).  She leaves behind her two children: Jarrod (Kim) Bento and Jessica (Josh Henkin) Bento; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. EST, on Monday, December 4, 2023, at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood, with Pastor Sean Kidd officiating.  The service will be available to watch via livestream below.  There will also be a time of visitation from 6:00 p.m. EST until the service begins at the funeral home.
