Susan Carole Lanting age 76 of Lakeview joyfully entered into the Presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, September 1, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Larry and her beloved son Michael Lanting.

She is survived by her daughter Amy Lanting Rivera and granddaughter Syrianna; her grandchildren (Michaels children) Zachary, Melodie and Kaitlyn; grandson Richard (Marchelle) Lanting and great granddaughter Valentina; her brother, Calvin Schans; sisters, Nancy Schans, Elaine Kines and Adele (David) Roblin. She was a beloved aunt of many nephews and nieces.

Mike and Amy and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She considered them to be the greatest gift she had ever been given straight from the Father's hand. She prayed daily for their salvation, blessing and safety.

"I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times
and laughing times and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve to dry before the Son.
Of happy memories that I leave when all of life is done.
All is truly well. We will meet again.

Graveside services for family and friends will be held on Saturday September 10, 2022 at 11am in Winchester Cemetery in Byron Center. Frederick Syswerda officiating.
A memorial is planned at a later date.
