Susan Knapp passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on February 1, 2025 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.   Born September 26, 1950 and raised in Grand Rapids, MI, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, helping others, shopping, planting flowers, and making the best cookies - which she always wanted to share.  She provided warmth and love for everyone and dedicated her life to her family.  She made sure to talk with everyone closest in her life frequently and told them she loved them.  Always with a smile on her face, and a hug to give, she never complained or asked for anything.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years - Paul Knapp, her sons Greg and David, her daughter-in law Sarah, and grandkids Ailey, Mia, and Luke.  Ailey and Mia loved when Grandma would take them swimming, do sleepovers, go to the park, go shopping, go to their school and cheer events, and get ice cream.  They loved her so much and will miss her.  Sue also loved spending time with her sisters, Karen and Nancy, who also have huge hearts and helped her and the family so much through her battle with cancer and until her very last day.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude , her favorite charity.  Upon her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.  Sue will be deeply missed but her memory and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.  The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their support, kind words, and prayers.
