Obituary

Steven Max Snider, passed away peacefully on July 25th, 2025, at the age of 73 in Hastings, Michigan, after a valiant battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Born February 1st, 1952, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Steve was a man whose warmth and spirit left an incredible mark on all who knew him.

Steve graduated from Hudsonville High School. He was an inspector at Bradford White for 30+ years. His work was not just a job but a platform to form lasting friendships.

An avid outdoorsman, Steve found solace and joy in the beauty of nature. Hunting and fishing were not just hobbies but passions that allowed him to embrace the tranquility of the outdoors. His love of riding motorcycles and driving his little red car were well known, as these activities brought a sense of freedom and adventure into his life. At home, his playful spirit was often seen in his interactions with his beloved dogs, Brutus and Cujo, who were a constant source of companionship and joy.

Steve's love for his family was immeasurable. He is survived by his devoted wife Marion Snider, and his loving children Chad (Jeremy) Snider, Meagan (Brandon) Thurston, Nick Snider, and Tyler (Kailee) Arndt, and his 7 grand children. His legacy continues through his brothers Chris (Julie) Snider and Scott (Linda) Snider, who will cherish the memories they shared. Steve was proceeded in death by his parents Peter and Leeta Snider, who instilled in him the values of love and family that he carried through his life along with his grandsons, Braydon Thurston and Dakota Arndt.

Those who knew Steve would describe him as loving, kind and funny. His ability to light up a room with his humor and his willingness to lend a helping hand are qualities that will be deeply missed. Steve's passing leaves a void in the hearts of many, but his spirit will continue to on through countless stories and memories shared by those who loved him.

As we bid farewell to Steven Max Snider, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, laughter and happiness. Even though he will be truly missed he will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
