Obituary

Steve's last wish was to "Go Home", he did, and he is. I want to thank all the people who made that possible. Steve was able to pass peacefully in God's hands with his family, and pets with him. That was a gift for which we will be forever grateful. Steve had a career path that included computer operations for Lear Siegler, Warehouse for Herman Miller, his own floor care business, and working for a family owned business, Master Finish. We had many "family road trips" and we all knew that meant use the bathroom, grab something to eat and drink, and maybe a small suitcase! Camping trips, our favorites being to Yogi Bear Campgrounds, we will never forget "Cindy Bear's announcements". As we became empty nesters we were able to enjoy trips to Hilton Head Island, Carolina Beach, and even Playa del Carmen. Steve's free time included watching every sport from Football, Baseball, Hockey, Basketball and Professional Bull Riding. All while enjoying the developments of new craft beers. He never missed one of Brock's Soccer Games, or one of Amber's Dance Recitals. As our family expanded we were grateful to be able to enjoy the blessings of being grandparents, I have never seen Steve laugh so much at their antics. Steve's discovery of the texting option on his phone and ordering things online from Amazon was fun to watch. He was always finding interesting and fun things for us to do with the kids. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Lena and Melvin Roetman. He survived by: his wife, Marleen (Marne), Daughter and Son-In-Law, Amber and Tony Christopher, Step-Son, Brock Eastley (Jamie Montague), Step-Daughter Adrienne Forsburg (Lance Forsburg), Grandchildren, Cameron, Rayna, and Avery, and his furry ones: Lulu and Chloe. He is also survived by his brothers (Doug and Betsy Roetman), (Denny and Beth Roetman), and his Sister (Kathy VanderHoek). A special thank you to Spectrum Health's Bone Marrow Transplant team and to Spectrum's Hospice team. You made it possible to make Steve's last days the best possible for him.
