Beyond his work, Steve had a zest for life and a variety of interests that he pursued with vigor. An active member of the Paw Paw Conservation Club, and the Rod and Gun Club, he shared his skills and knowledge by teaching women how to shoot, empowering them with confidence and a sense of safety. His love for the outdoors was evident in his favorite pastimes, which included camping and being a campground host at Silver Lake. Whether it was a weekend at the campground or a day spent at flea markets, Steve embraced the simple pleasures of life.
One of Steve's most notable contributions was founding the Michigan 50" Trail Quad Riders. His vision and leadership cultivated a community that now boasts almost 2,000 members and continues to grow. His passion for the trail and for bringing people together created a lasting impact that will be enjoyed by outdoor enthusiasts for generations to come.
Steve's presence in the community was as a man who loved his family, valued his friends, and enjoyed the company of those who shared his interests. His laughter, wisdom, and kind spirit will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
