IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Steven Matthew
Jendritz
June 27, 1971 – September 25, 2017
Abraham Lincoln said "I like to see a man proud of the place he lives. I like to see a man live so that his place will be proud of him". This is how Steven Matthew "Steve" Jendritz of Grand Rapids Michigan, age 46, who entered eternal life on Sunday September 24, 2017, will be remembered. The only things Steve cherished more than his country, were his Savior Jesus Christ, his family and his friends. Steve was kind, respectful, helpful and welcoming to everyone he met. He was happy, optimistic and proudly served his country in the military and as a public servant for the past twenty-four years. Steve is now reunited with his parents Kenneth and Kathleen and his mother-in-law Marilyn. His spirit is carried on here by his loving wife and children Jennifer, Connor, Ava and Georgia. It is impossible to explain the love and pride Steve had for Jennifer and their kids, it was fierce and it will live on. The list of close family and friends who loved and will dearly miss Steve is much too long to list here. Steve and his family are forever thankful for the overwhelming support, care and wisdom we have received from friends and the medical professionals who have helped us these difficult past two and a half years. We are sincerely proud of the place we live. We will strive to live our lives so that our place will be proud of us. Just like Steve did. The service to remember and celebrate Steve's life will be held at 12 pm, Saturday, September 30, at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church 4610 Belding Rd. NE Rockford, Michigan. Burial will follow the service at Courtland Township Cemetery 10350 Myers Lake Ave. NE Rockford, Michigan 49341. The family will receive visitors at the church two hours prior to the service between10:00am and 12:00pm. If you would like to make a donation for the benefit of the Jendritz children's education, in Steve's honor, please make the check payable to "College of America" and mail to the address below.
