Steven Craig Idema, age 63, born November 6th,1956 was united with his Lord and Savior after fighting an almost two year battle with cancer. He passed away at his home on July 17th, 2020.

Steve will be sadly missed by his wife of 8 years, Jean (Wiers), whom he fondly referred to as "Jeanie"; his 3 daughters, Leisa Idema (Cary Feldbauer), Stacy Faught (Joe Westra), and Brittany (Brandon) Wilson; Jean's children, Katelyn Homrich, and Marine Staff Sargeant Nate Homrich; ten grandchildren, Dylan, Logan, Jozelyn, Charles, Olivia, Emelia, Riley, Braxton, Caiden, and Carter.

Steve is survived by his parents Warren and Marlene Idema, mother-in-law, Clarice Wiers, and their children and families; Vicky Bremer, Thom (Ann) Idema, Ed (Gayle) Wiers, Sue (Greg) Matteson, Jim (Jill) Wiers, and many nieces and nephews.

Steve was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Ken Bremer, Dan Wiers, Gary Wiers, and cousin Trista Idema.

Steve will be remembered for his zest for life and living life to its fullest. He loved music, joking around, meeting people, and making countless friends throughout his life. But above all, he loved his family.

A Celebration of Steve's life will take place on Thursday, July 23rd at Jenison Bible Church (6360 14th Ave). Visitation will begin at 12:30 with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 pm.
