Godfrey, Steven Henry, age 44, of Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 21st. Steve was preceded in death by his father William and sister Melissa. He is survived by his wife; Veronica, children; Lauryn, Brianna, Somer, grand-child; Ezri, mother; Nadine Godfrey, siblings; Monica (Chuck) Prill, Stan (Rhonda) Maneke, Yvonne (Pat) Lake, Melissa (Mike) Golden, William (Cindy) Godfrey, and many nieces and nephews. Steve was a drummer who had a serious passion for music and played for many years and was still performing. Steve was also an avid outdoors man, he especially loved hunting and fishing. Steve's children and grand-child meant the world to him and he will be deeply missed by his kids, grand-kids and wife. There will be a funeral service held on Wednesday, November 25th at 11AM at the Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4PM, 6-8PM and again an hour before the service on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Godfrey family for Steve's two younger girls.
