Steven Drews, 51, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026 surrounded by family and friends.

Steven was born in Big Rapids, Mi on September 16, 1974 to John and Laura Drews. Steve lived a very prosperous life working at Lee Steel which then turned into Maksteel later on. He then worked at MetalTek as a maintenance tech.

Steve loved watching his kids play the sports they loved, fishing with his kids and riding motorcycles; specifically Harley’s. Steve was known for being the life of the party and his classic “hey hey”. Steve was also known for his signature style, you would always see him in jeans, Jordan’s and Dixxon attire with a fitted hat on.

Steve is preceded in death by his dad, John Drews and his son, Wade Freeman. He is survived by his mom, Laura Drews; his siblings, Lori Balk, Tina Balk, Jimmy Crawford and Melissa Drews; his children’s mother, Misty Rose; their 4 children, Cadin Rose, Kyler Drews, Carter Rose and Kodi Rain Rose; his girlfriend, Laura Sciepura and many other family and friends.

Steve’s wishes were that his ashes be privately spread and given to his girlfriend and kids. A celebration of life/memorial will be held at Millennium park, with a time and date to be determined

Steve will be deeply missed by all those who had the chance to get to know him. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to “No Swine Left Behind”, a non profit organization that Laura and Steve truly cherished together.
