Stephen (Steve) James Thomas, fell asleep in the Lord on December 25, 2019 at the age of 72. He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. Robert and Lucille Thomas. his daughter Elizabeth and great-granddaughter Jozlynn. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Barbara, his daughters, Andrea Riley and Lori Brown, his brother, Robert (Jeanne), his sister, Cathy, his brothers-in-law, Nick (Joanne) and Bruce (Kim), grandchildren, Stephanie, Laurence, Brandy, Victoria, Tyler, Ryan and Michael, great-grandchildren, Emma, Wesley, Jaxson and Kinsley, and many nieces and nephews. Steve graduated from Michigan State University and taught school for many years, followed by a career in construction before retiring. Visitation is Monday, December 30, at 9:30am with a funeral following at 11am all at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE in Kentwood. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church for the Thomas Family Memorial.
