Obituary

Stanley Paul Roberts, age 73, of Byron Center, was lovingly ushered into the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 21, 2026. Though he will be deeply missed by everyone who loved him, we find comfort in knowing that he is finally home.

Stan grew up on a farm in Arena, Wisconsin, and his love for Wisconsin, hard work, and the outdoors continued throughout his life. He loved hunting, fishing, and swapping stories with anyone he met. He never met a stranger and had a gift for turning strangers into best friends.

His greatest joy was his family. He was deeply invested in the lives of his children and grandchildren, faithfully attending sporting events, bike races, and treasuring the time they spent together. Nothing made him happier than having his entire family gathered together at his home, sharing stories and spending time together.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Nancy; his children, Josh (Courtney) Roberts, Jed (Nicole) Roberts, and Rozlyn Roberts; his grandchildren, Hudson, Easton, Nolan, Harper, Phyllis, Reyna, and Mariah; and his twin brother, Steve (Bridget) Roberts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Jemima Roberts; his brothers, Woodrow Jr. and Phil Roberts; and his sister, Jean Peterson. What a loud, joyful reunion there must have been in heaven as much of the Roberts family welcomed him home.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, November 2, 2026, at Ada Bible Church, Kentwood Campus, 2045 68th Street SE, Caledonia, Michigan 49316. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service, with a luncheon immediately following the service.
