April 20, 2014 Service: April 24, 2014 Siiri V. Mitchell, aged 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Resurrection Sunday, April 20, 2014. She was an accomplished water color artist, had a quick wit which everyone appreciated and was a totally selfless person in giving to her family. Faith was very important to her and she was a believer in Jesus Christ. Siiri was a member of the American Finnish Society. She graduated valedictorian from Sault Ste. Marie high school and graduated from business school in Detroit. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard S.M. Mitchell III. She is survived by her daughter, Siiri (John) Levickas, grandchildren Michael Chase, Siiri (Craig) Foy, Kassie (Darthaniel) Foy and Patrick E. Bement, 4 great-grandchildren Maddy Foy, Kaili Foy, Ali Foy, Liem Foy, sister Ruth Brozek and special friend Diet Emman. A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, April 24th at 4:30pm at the Harvest Bible Chapel, 225 E. Exchange Street, Spring Lake. There will be refreshments following the service.
