Shirley Ann Jensen of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away on February 22, 2022. She was born to John and Hazel Townsend on November 26, 1941 in Gladwin, Michigan.

Shirley was born the eldest of two children and graduated from Gladwin High School in June of 1959.

She was married to Kenneth Russell Jensen for 22 years and, together they had two children. She loved her children. Her hobbies while they were young were country painting, reading and spending time in their pool. As she aged, she loved to go out for coffee with friends, babysit her two grandchildren and go for boat rides on Gun Lake. In her later years she suffered from vascular dementia, of which she has now passed.

Shirley is survived by her younger brother Wayne (Judy) Townsend, her two children, Craig Jensen and Karen (Dwight) Strayer and her two grandchildren, Jessica and Nathan Strayer.

The family would like to thank Legacies Assisted Living in Caledonia, MI for the wonderful care they gave her over the past almost two years.
