Shirley Mae Finkler came into this world on May 17, 1938. She ended her earthly journey on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at the age of 82, in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Shirley grew up in East Grand Rapids and became a successful businesswoman and a member of the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce. A woman of faith, she had a vivacious personality and lived life to the fullest. We remember her finest years living in the Alaskan woods, on Big Pine Island, and the sunny shores on the Gulf of Mexico.

Shirley found happiness in experiencing the world with her loved ones and cooking for them, drawing inspiration from her hundreds of cookbooks, though she only used a few. She enjoyed adventure in which she sought while sightseeing the globe, which included jumping out of a plane at the age of 56. Shirley famously recorded many moments throughout her life which live on to this day. She was an animal lover an had several pets over the years with relatively odd names.

Throughout the last decade she could be found in her exquisitely decorated St. Petersburg home, reminiscing on her favorite memories and telling stories of her endeavors to her grandchildren. She leaves a legacy that is bold and proud.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Joseph Wyman; husband Kage Graham; three granddaughters; four great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Gladys Finkler; her brother Leo, Jr.; sister Virginia; son Scott Wyman; and her beloved Herm Jansma.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on her birthday, May 17, 2021, at Ideal Park, 5843 Crippen Avenue SW, Wyoming, MI 49548.
