Heenan, Shirley 9/17/1926 - 5/28/2015 Shirley (Blalock) Heenan, 88, died Thursday after a long and fierce struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. She was formerly the Executive Director of The Alzheimer's Association of Southwest Michigan and the head of the Victim and Witness Assistance Unit of the Kalamazoo County Prosecutor's Office. She was a graduate of Western Michigan University. She enjoyed her family and friends, her home, music, animals and the great outdoors. Her family is grateful to the friends, neighbors, relatives and caregivers who supported her struggle to maintain her independence and dignity. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack, her parents Marge and Mike Blalock, and her sister Bevy Parker. She is survived by her children, Mick Heenan, Carol Seajay, Cindy Heenan (and partner Buck Davis) and Tim Heenan (and wife Kim); 4 grandchildren: Jason (and wife Jessie James) Heenan, Corey Heenan, Mallory Heenan and Jamie (and husband Eric) Minaya; and 3 nephews, Mark, David and Tom Parker.
