July 31, 2011 Service: August 3, 2011 Shirley Ann Doyle (Moore), age 75, of Grand Rapids, walked into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, July 31, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the adoring wife of Gerald Doyle for more than 53 years, a devoted mother to Lynn (Dave) Drinan, Patty (Cary) Klinkner, and Rick (Chris) Doyle, and the best grandma to Amy, Brian, Brad, Brittany, Matt, Patrick, Nick and Tony. She is remembered fondly by her brothers, sisters, and in-laws George Moore, Loretta (Ed) Huard, Margie Slivinski, Jim (Betty) Moore, Louise Moore, Betty Junewick, and Bob (Gale) Doyle, many nieces / nephews and special friends. She was a devoted member of the Catholic Church and active in many charitable activities. Shirley loved life and enjoyed golfing, volleyball, bowling and water aerobics. The family is grateful to the Cancer & Hematology Centers of Western Michigan and Faith Hospice for their loving care. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, August 3, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Fr. Troy Nevins, Celebrant. The rosary will be prayed Tuesday at 7:30 PM at the Ofield Funeral Home where visitation will be held Tuesday 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Faith Hospice.
