Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, John Hughes, Thelma Hughes; brothers, Jimmy Hughes, Chester Hughes, Horace Hughes. She is survived by her siblings, Ray (Verda) Hughes, Donald (Joyce) Hughes, Barbara (Leonard) Edge, Linda Nunnery, all of Fayetteville, N.C, Billy Hughes of Bishop S.C., Mary (Jerry) O'Brian, of Star, N.C.; sister-in-law, Melba (Jimmy) Hughes of Fayetteville, N.C.; Shirley's children; son, Phillip (April), daughter, Jennifer (Tony) Brown their sons, Darian, Michael, Jordan; son, Joshua (Heather) Crans, their daughters, Gaia, Maya; daughter, Kathryn (Hugo) Crans; son, Jon (Jill) Crans, their children, Citrus and Luc; daughter, Sandy (Chris) Helfer, their daughters, Christian, Kaitlyn, Allissa, Jimmy Hamlin, his children, Bryson and Haven; daughter, Phyllis (Larry) Pope, their daughter, Dustyn (Jeremy) Fisher, their children, Shelbee and Tucker; son, LC Scheurman III, his daughter, Kelci; son, Peter (Susie) Crans, their children, Derek, his daughter, Harmony, daughter, Nicole; son, Perry (Lottie) Crans, their sons, Christopher and Timothy, step-daughter Juanita, her son, James; son, Patrick (Lynne) Crans, their sons, Trevor (Rebekah), Jay (Justine) their daughter, Taylor.
