Sharyll Baribeau, age 76, of Newaygo MI, went home to God on September 4, 2019. She was born November 11, 1942 to Matt and Ruth Baribeau in Grand Rapids MI. She loved to travel- whether by plane, train, or automobile, and she had the great opportunity of living overseas and throughout the States. She had a passion for Country music, and was dedicated to her cowboy boots. Her pets were always treated as family. I've never seen a dog so besotted. Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Matt and Ruth Baribeau, her brother Larry Baribeau, and her daughter Kathleen DeWindt. She is survived by her brother Robert Baribeau (Pat Baribeau), her daughters Lorraine Harris, Bonnie Hardy, and Heather Hendricks, and her granddaughter Lauren DeWindt. She also leaves behind dedicated son-in-law Jason Hendricks, and Alexander Ditter (grandson-in-law). And of course we would not forget her loving, and so incredibly supportive, nieces, nephews, and friends. Mel, Brent, Mike, Kelly, Matt, Chad, Jill, Marge, and Rick- thank you all so much, you strengthened us when we needed it the most. We had a wonderful get-together in Sherry's honor at Jimmy's Roadhouse in Newaygo. It was exactly what she wanted for herself and for us. I would like to say how thankful I am to everyone for just enjoying the time with family. If I close my eyes, I can still feel her arms around me. I take comfort in knowing that she was a genuinely good person, and that her spirit is light.
