With great sadness we announce the passing of Sharon Jean Swingler, a beloved sister, aunt, and friend, at the age of 82 on August 29th, 2024 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was born in Mansfield, Ohio to Glenn and Lucille Swingler, and grew up in Newport, Ohio, where she was known for her infectious laughter and caring nature. Sharon was a beacon of joy and laughter. Known for her kind heart and fun-loving spirit, she brought light into every room she entered. She had a talent for gardening, truly loved nature and animals. Sharon enjoyed traveling, visiting the ocean and was an avid reader. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family. She took great pride in her career as a stewardess during the 1960's, a time when air travel was glamorous and new. She loved the excitement of seeing the county and meeting new people. Her welcoming nature and gracious smile made her a beloved figure among her colleagues and customers. Sharon owned and operated her own business in Park City, Utah where her dedication and hard work was respected by all. Sharon is survived by her dear friend and cherished companion, Kathy Buckley, who was by her side through life's many adventures. She is also survived by her loving family, including her dear sister Charlotte Hearn Herlan. She was a devoted Aunt to Kimberly Newhart (Dave), Kristin McGee (J.D.) and Joe Hearn (Buffi) always showering them with love, laughter and the occasional mischievous prank. Also by many great nieces and nephews. She will be cremated as per her wishes. Her spirit and joy will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
