Sharon Lee (Christensen) Ringewold, age 86, of Gratten Township MI, is now face to face with Jesus. She went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 22, 2021. Born to Melvin and Virginia Christensen on July 22, 1935 in Sioux Falls, SD

Sharon spent her young years in Sioux Falls, SD, moving to Grand Rapids, MI at thirteen years old, and graduating from Godwin High School in 1954.

Sharon was married to Ronald Ringewold for 64 years. They had 69 years of love and adventures together. Sharon loved to travel with their motorcycle, going to Sturgis and Daytona many times. Sharon and Ron have logged countless miles in the foothills of South Dakota as this was Sharon's favorite place to go. Sharon was one-third Cherokee Indian and was very proud of that-- their motorcycle is adorned with an Indian paint job and Ron and Sharon's home is full of Indian decorations.

Sharon also loved her dogs. Her dogs were like kids to her, Ron often teased that the dogs ate better than he did. Sharon loved the lake life. Ron and Sharon decided to buy a small house on Big Pine Island Lake 36 years ago and never regretted that decision. Many hours of family fun, barbeques and quiet time just sitting on the porch looking out on the lake.

Sharon is survived by her beloved husband Ronald Ringewold; loving daughter Tracy Zigterman (Glen); daughters Tammy Kellogg (Jim) and Teri Leedy (Dan); ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Mimi Christensen, Mike and Virginia Sievers; and a son Ronnie Ringewold.

A memorial service will be celebrated with Pastor Yago Williams presiding at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Taking place at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Avenue SE, Kentwood, MI 49508. A time of fellowship and visitation with light snacks and refreshments immediately following. Service Details.
