Sharon Lee McGhee, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, passed away on July 26, 2025 at the age of 82, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on May 1, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio, Sharon lived a beautiful and full life. After the passing of her beloved husband, David L. McGhee, in 2016, Sharon moved back to the Grand Rapids area and soon became an integral part of a loving and supportive community. It was there that she was able to use her gifts of hospitality. Sharon spent her remaining years hosting game nights in her community where she provided a welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and a lot of laughter! Sharon made use of her gifts in bringing people together.

Sharon was deeply devoted to her family and friends. Sharon leaves behind her four children: daughter Dawn Nelson (Jeff Nelson), daughter Christine Dexter, son Brian McGhee (Joelle McGhee), daughter Angela Reed (Paul Reed), along with 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, each of whom carries a part of Sharon's light.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with her beloved David. Sharon's quick-wittedness, kindness, and strength will stay with us always.
