Sharon Kent, 77, of Holland, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 19, 2021, at her home.
Sharon was born in Holland, Michigan, the daughter of Anthony and Julia VerHoeven. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband, Dale, and her dog, Parker, as well as spending time with her family and friends. Sharon was an avid sports fan, watching football, basketball, and NASCAR at every opportunity. She retired from Herman Miller after 34 years of faithful service.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Ivan VerHoeven, Harvey VerHoeven, and Gerald VerHoeven.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Dale Kent; children, James (Patricia) VandeWege, Dennis VandeWege, Steven (Kristi) VandeWege, Michael (Annette) VandeWege, Dale Kent, Jr., Lori (Thomas) Thalen, and Kristi Ann (Shane) Smith; 22 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother Robert (Dawn) VerHoeven, and sister-in-law Bonnie VerHoeven.
Sharon will be greatly missed by all. Her family will be celebrating her life and honoring her privately later this spring; her final resting place will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of Holland.
