IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Scott James
Drummond
April 22, 1997 – January 31, 2024
Scott "Scottie" James Drummond, 26, of Rockford Michigan passed away Wednesday
January 31st 2024 after a brief and sudden illness. He was a vibrant young man whose
generosity and kindness will be sorely missed.
Scott was born in 1997 to Kelly (Blashill) and Kevin Drummond in Lansing MI,
followed shortly by a move to St. Clair, MI where he spent his childhood and
adolescence. He attended St. Mary's followed by St. Clair High School where he
created lifelong friends and memories. He attended Western Michigan University and
graduated with a degree in Accounting.
Scott was a diligent worker as a financial analyst and proud of the work he did.
He had careers at Kellogg, Reckitt, and had recently accepted a position at Stryker
when he was taken ill.
Scott was a passionate history buff, a lover of hockey, football and golf, as well
as a budding home cook. He could often be found on the weekends on the St. Clair
River with his friends or on a golf course working on his putting. He spent his Sundays
on the phone calling and texting friends and loved ones. He loved being an uncle to his
two nephews, and enjoyed long walks in the woods with his dog Flynn. He also enjoyed
playing video games online with his friends and brother.
Scott was preceded in death by his father Kevin Drummond, his grandfather Bob
Drummond, and his grandmother Sue Brown. He will be greatly missed by his mother
Kelly Drummond, his sister Sarah (Michael) Hubbard, his brother Andrew (Jessica)
Bradley Drummond, his nephews Oliver and Theodore, his grandparents Lynn (Bill)
Berry and Jim (Jan) Blashill. He will also be missed by many close aunts, uncles, and
cousins. He had a close group of friends who have been in contact since they were
young children, and his absence will be a heavy silence in all of their lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you would make a donation in Scott's name
to The National First Responders Fund (https://www.nfrf.org/). A memorial will be held at
St. Mary's Church in St. Clair on Saturday February 24th at 12:00pm. All are welcome.
