March 5, 2013 Service: March 11, 2013 Sandra Lynne Thurston, age 75, went to be with her Lord and Savior, March 5, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Frederick T. Thurston, children, Steven F. (Cyndy) Thurston, Russell F. (Jan) Thurston, Lynne T. (Mitch) Cripe; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, sister, Elaine Tompkins and a niece. Sandy spent 30+ years of her career with the MEA. After retirement Sandy and Fred spent time working with their church family, traveling and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 11th at 1:00pm at the Ofield Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Unit at Oakcrest Manor Kentwood. Friends are welcome to visit with her family Sunday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
