Sandra Jean Frantz (Socia), beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend, musician, and therapist, left this physical life on October 10, 2023. Sandra began her life journey on January 10, 1970, in San Antonio, Texas. Her legacy of love lives on in the hearts of those who loved her most; her husband, Michael Frantz, daughters, Aarika and Linnea, all of Kentwood; parents, Mark Socia (Diane) of Swartz Creek and Andrea Socia of Grand Rapids; sisters, Tracy Socia of Grand Rapids and Kellie Socia (Jessica Noskey) of Negaunee; nephews, T. Jack & Marcus Boase of Ishpeming. Many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends share the loss of such a beautiful soul.

Sandra dedicated 27 years of her life to the service of others as a Physical Therapist for Corewell Health (Spectrum Health) in Grand Rapids. Her healing hands have touched the lives of countless patients and her knowledge has been shared amongst the finest health care professionals that she worked with in the Greater Grand Rapids area, her home for over 30 years.

Sandra's spirit was contagious. Her excitement and passion for all she loved was undeniable; music, playing electric bass guitar, cooking, baking, cake decorating, reading and learning, Disney, planning family vacations, celebrating holidays, writing poetry and music, speaking Spanish with her daughter and her patients, and jewelry making. Sandra was a beautiful mind, committed to seeking new knowledge and developing deeper understanding, encouraging truth, and sharing love with every breath she took. She embraced all nationalities and cultures and celebrated every human being for who they are.

Sandra's legacy of love can be seen in the smiles of her children, found in the bassline of her favorite funk-tastic songs, and within the memories of those whose lives were touched by her energy. Her strength and laser focus will serve as a reminder to all she loved that giving up is simply not an option; that your life is worth fighting for.

Sandra's Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 14, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Fountain Street Church, 24 Fountain Street NE in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Family, friends, and loved ones are encouraged to bring their favorite memory of Sandra or lesson learned from her to share.  Wearing purple is encouraged.   In lieu of flowers, it is the family's request that a donation be made in her name to Spectrum Hospice.
