Sandy was born on September 26,1942 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to John and Isabel VanDyke. She has two younger brothers, David (Clara) VanDyke and Randy (Joey) VanDyke.
On June 27, 1964, Sandy married the love of her life, Milt Fenton. This year they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Together, they had three daughters and eight grandchildren. Throughout her life, Sandy was known for her warm heart and devotion to her family. She was happiest hosting her family to share the holidays, or any day, resulting in a constant stream of company with whom she shared her life. To be around her was to feel loved, listened to, and cared for. She expressed her unending love through cooking, crocheting afghans, and calling friends and family just to say hello. For Sandy, every day was a day to laugh and make someone else smile.
Her gift of unconditional love was shared as a wife, mom and grandmother.
During their life together, Sandy and Milt enjoyed going to Silver Lake in Mears, MI. for over 30 years. She loved visiting with their friends and neighbors and going to the beach. She could also be found at every sporting event, play, or music performance her grandchildren took part in. To Sandy, family was truly everything.
