Congdon, Sandra (Sandy) born on May 31, 1940 passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 after a long battle with COPD. She is preceded in death by her parents Adrian & Marjorie (Staal) Wiersma; sister Wanda Hop, brother Darryl Wiersma, grand daughter Andrea Beeman , and three son-in-laws. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Christy Mourer, Cathy Weeks, Carey (Ed) Jones, Cally (Bill) Van Dyk; 12 grand children, 11 great grand children, 1 great-great grand daughter; brother-in-law Duane Hop, sister-in-law Sandy Wiersma; special companion Randy and several nieces and nephews. Sandy loved spending her summers at her cottage on Big Star Lake that her "daddy" built. The family would like to thank Spectrum Health Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion during the last 3 months of her life. And the Vista Springs staff, not only for taking such loving care of Sandy but also becoming friends to her. A casual Celebration Of Life luncheon will be held at the Vestal Inn, 6255 W River Dr. NE, Belmont, MI 49306 on Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 1pm to 4pm. In honor of Sandy and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice.
