Sally Ann Wood age 86 passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016. She is survived by her children Craig and Rita Wood and Carolyn Wood; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Wood. Sally was a graduate of Central High School Class of 1947, she attended Wayne State University and graduated from the Butterworth School of Nursing in 1950. She had a long career as a pediatric nurse. She was a life time member of the Eastern Star Peninsular #65 and Daughters of the Nile Temple #67 where she held many offices and positions and received many awards and acknowledgments for her service. Sally was a life long member of First (Park) Congregational Church and past co-president of the Park Church Women and belonged to the Arnold Ten. A Memorial Service will be held for Sally at First (Park) Congregational Church in Thompson Chapel, 10 E. Park Pl. NE on Wednesday, April 27th at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Helen DeVos Children's Hospital.
