Sally Ann Thomas, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2024, after a short battle with stage 4 lung cancer.

Born in Lake Providence, Louisiana, on March 6, 1955, to Henry H. Thomas and Emma J. Hunter, Sally was raised in Saginaw, MI, with her many siblings. She was a loving and kind older sister to her surviving siblings, Rose (Nathaniel) Burney and Billy Joe Thomas. Sally enjoyed cooking, crafting, watching movies, and spending lots of quality time with her family and friends. She lived for her yearly Cedar Point trips with her family and was the definition of the glue that holds a family together.

Sally was also a devoted mother to her three children, Miron Thomas, Ricky (Wanda) Thomas, and Tamica Thomas, whom she shares with her childhood sweetheart, Miron D. Pippins. She was a doting grandmother to her nine grandchildren: Dorian, Leertease, Bianca, Danyka, Toya, Moni, Rihanna, and Arionna—and her great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Raquelle, Rodney, Brielle, Asher, Remiase, and Madden—who will all remember her warmth and selflessness. Also, to cherish her memory is a wealth of nieces, nephews, and close relatives and friends. Sally is preceded in death by her parents, Henry H. Thomas and Emma J. Hunter, and her siblings: Ruby L. Wright, Ida J. Henderson, Henry H. Thomas, Mary E. Reed, Zelma Thomas, and Tommy "Tuck" Thomas—as well as her grandson, Giovani Alvelo.

Although Sally was born to be the fantastic mother and grandmother she was, she was more than those titles. She was a lover of art, music and fashion, and used this love to showcase her exuberance. Sally was big-hearted, unbiased, and believed there was beauty in every human being. The world may continue to spin, but it will never be the same without Sally Ann Thomas, the life of the party.
