Sally Marie Hendrixson passed away peacefully at her home on the 25th of September 2022. Sally was born on March 16, 1936 to Clarence and Sarah (Gearhart) Wollenhaupt.

Sally was a devoted mom who was loving, generous and kind. She willingly gave her time to others and openly shared her beautiful smiles and warm hugs. Sally was determined, some would say stubborn. She always wanted to pay the tab and insisted on carrying the heaviest bag. You always ate, whether hungry or not.

Sally loved horses, the lakeshore, gardening, the changing colors of fall, and especially spending time with family. She had a superior work ethic, yet was happiest when working outside covered head to toe in dirt with sweat dripping from her brow. Over the years, Sally spent countless hours tending to her yard and flower gardens.

She will be greatly missed by her children Scott Hendrixson (Deb), Carla (Gary) Steinke, Chriss (Ken) McCulloch; grandchildren Scott Hendrixson, Jr., Samantha (Chris) LeBlanc, Jeffrey (Corey) Steinke, Jill Steinke (AJ); great-grandchildren Caleb Hendrixson and Emma Steinke, special niece Pam Fuller, former spouse Irwin "Gus" Hendrixson, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Irene Nichols, Wilma Gregory and Mary Drainer, companion Leon Holmes.

We are grateful for the guidance and sympathetic support provided by Wings of Hope Hospice, Allegan.

A memorial luncheon will be held on Tuesday, October 11th at the First Baptist Church, 247 E. Allegan Street, Otsego from noon to 2:00 p.m. Service Details.
