Sally Ann Clay (Molengraf), age 82, of Rockford, Michigan, joined her beloved husband, Skip, in the presence of her Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 7th, 2022.
She was born on August 16, 1939, in Grand Rapids, MI to Floyd and Lucille Molengraf. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Royce "Skip" Clay. Surviving are her children, Shawn (Sherri) Irwin, Katie (Doug) Campbell, Caroline Kauffman; and her grandchildren, Morgan, Hannah, Elle, Drake, Lauren, Ava, Aiden and Harrison.
Sally was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Sally loved to spend time on the island of Maui with Skip. They would spend the winter in Maui and work from the beach, play golf and act like locals. Skip and Sally were also married on the Kaanapali beach with Katie, Caroline, Shawn and Sherri in attendance. Sally loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart. She would spend countless hours playing board games and bingo, baking and doing crafts, watching Disney movies, taking annual trips to Binder Park Zoo and making ice cream sundaes with the grandchildren.
Sally was a surgical nurse for Christian Helmus, MD for 39 years. She was a Dorothy Swift guild member for 40 years, where she served on the board and volunteered at the Fireside Grill. Sally cherished the many dear friends she met during her years with the guild.
Sally will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Sally desired a private family ceremony. Service Details.
