IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ryan Patrick
Beavers
August 20, 1985 – July 1, 2025
Ryan Patrick Beavers, Age 39. Of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away on July 1, 2025 in a tragic motor vehicle accident. Born in Baltimore City, Maryland, Ryan lived a life marked by courage, service, and love.
He dedicated 15 years of his life as a firefighter, a role that reflected his deep commitment to protecting and helping others. After leaving the fire service, Ryan continued that mission as a track safety specialist at Kalamazoo Speedway and as a medic with Deathmatch Medics, bringing the same bravery and care to every shift.
Ryan is survived by his loving wife, Ellis Beavers; his godmother, Lori Stone, and her wife, Susan Jordan; Sam and Eric Myers and their children; his sisters Regan, Alex, Gabby and Jessica; and his mother, Kim Beavers. He was deeply cherished by all who knew him and will be remembered for his generous heart, his outgoing personality and deafening strength — a strength that spoke volumes without needing words.
Outside of his work, Ryan found joy in the small but meaningful things: building intricate model railroads, exploring local fire stations, and spending cherished time with Ellis, especially attending concerts together — a shared passion that brought them closer with every show.
Ryan was deeply loved by the many communities he touched — from fellow firefighters and emergency responders, to motorsport fans, wrestling performers, and friends near and far. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and a steady hand in times of need. That love now echoes in the countless lives he impacted, and in the memories that will continue to shine brightly in his absence.
Two Celebrations of Life will be held in Ryan's honor:
• July 26, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Wyoming Senior Center, located at 2380 De Hoop Ave, Wyoming, MI 49509
• August 9, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the West York Fire Department, located at 1341 W Market St, York, PA 17404
In lieu of donations, the family kindly asks that you support his wife, Ellis, during this difficult time. Your presence, care, and continued love mean more than words can express.
If you would like to donate, you may donate to their GoFundMe or purchase gift cards for Ellis for future meals as the complex nature of Ryan's passing will take an emotional toll months later.
