October 8, 2013 Meis, Russell H. age 82 went to be with his lord on Tuesday, October 8, 2013. His is survived by his children, Barbara Flynn (James), Leon Carrico (Carolyn), Roger Carrico (Judi), Russ Meis Jr. (Kathy), Tammy Meis, Wendy Salois and Mike Meis (Sherry). His sister Ruby Meis (Stephen Brewer) and brother Roney Meis (Beverly), 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and an abundance of friends including his very special and loving friend, Massie Tolbert. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Roye Meis, his sisters Reta Lemon and Rella Raymond, and his daughter Cindy Jewell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. A celebration of Russell's life will be held Sunday, October 13, 2013 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Green Tree Apartments 4320 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI.
