The journey on earth of Russell Anderson, of Gaines Township, MI, ended on March 28, 2019 at the age of 56-years old. Russ loved being outdoors, spending time in nature, riding his bicycle, fishing, tinkering and fixing things. He lived with his mother and step-father for many years and helped take care of their country style home. The death of his beloved mother last fall left Russ with a huge hole in his heart. Russ was blessed with a wonderful sense of humor, and loved to tease his nieces. He had beautiful eyes that sparkled when he grinned. Russ did "his" best. We all loved him, will miss him, and will remember him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Darlein Doughty, and his father, Russell E. Anderson and his special nephew, Dennis Anderson, Jr. He is survived by his son, Daniel Moore. He is also survived by his step-father, John Doughty, his brothers, Dennis Anderson (Becki) and John Doughty, and his sisters, Christine Marte (Andre), Cynthia Ross (Larry), and Carla Goron (David). He will also lovingly be remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Per the family's wishes, cremation has taken place. A gathering to celebrate Russ's life will take place this summer. Many thanks to all the family, friends, and friends of friends that have held us up during this time. Your prayers didn't bring the outcome we wanted, but we have faith that our loved one is finally at peace. Also, thanks to the Kent County Sheriff's Department for their efforts in trying to locate Russ. Our family appreciates everything that you did.
