Roy F. Johnson, age 96, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

Roy was born on July 7, 1928 to Frederick William and Cornelia "Katie" Johnson in a farm house in Ottawa County, Michigan.

He was the lead foreman at Burke E. Porter Machinery Company and married the girl he loved from the 1st day they met. Roy and Ella shared a long and loving life together for 72 years.

Roy will be forever missed by his family; children, Connie (Larry) Merritt, Roy Scott (Nellie) Johnson, Timothy Roy (Deb) Johnson, and Paul Roy (Dianna) Johnson; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, along with several extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Ella Johnson in 2022; his parents; his great-grandson, Leroy Johnson and his sister, Alice (Henning) Engmark.

Roy's family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 am until the time of services Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Roy will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood, MI 49508.

A private interment will take place at Rosedale Memorial Park Cemetery.
