Obituary

On June 21, 2021, Ronna Lynn Scholten passed away at the age of 66, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Ronna was born in Grand Haven, MI on March 14, 1955. She attended Spring Lake High School.

She always enjoyed being on the water and was proud when she earned her Charter Boat Captain's License and hosted fishing charters on board the "Dreamweaver."

Ronna achieved a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Detroit - Mercy. As a Registered Nurse, Ronna cared compassionately for countless patients over her career of more than 20 years at Metropolitan Hospital and the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.

She lit up every room she walked into and welcomed every person (and animal) into her home. She was a generous hostess and talented cook. Ronna loved making memories with her family, friends and dogs; and spoiling her grandchildren. She loved spending time by the pool and was happy when it was filled with kids. She had a playful sense of humor and the rare ability to turn any situation into an adventure.

Ronna is survived by her daughter Michelle VanEe (Bill), son Aaron Burns, brother Howie Van Hall (Barbie), sisters Billie Ann Primmer (Charles) and Shannon Surdam (Derek), grandsons Jacob Rosso (Tallia), Brayden Rosso and Joshuah Collins, granddaughter Caylin Williams, her dear friend Jack Jansen; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her loving kindness and thoughtfulness will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.

Ronna will be remembered at a private ceremony for immediate family.
