Ronald Charles DeVries, 55, passed away on February 11, 2019, after a lingering illness. Ron was a Kenowa Hills graduate and a die-hard Spartan fan. He loved to cook and share his expertise in the kitchen with others. He is survived by his mother, Elaine Kitchel; his brothers and their wives, Bill and Tyre, Ted and Molly, and Ryan and Candy DeVries; nephew Gage; nieces Grace, Faith, Susie, Hannah, Candyce and Anna DeVries; granddaughter, Ariana; longtime companion, Wendi Stockholm, and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Ron was preceded in death by his father William "Skip" DeVries III. Arrangements have been entrusted to Simply Cremations in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Information regarding a celebration of life for Ron will be posted on his Facebook page as soon as arrangements are completed.
