Ronald Churchard, aged 68 of Grand Rapids passed away peacefully Friday, January 5th, 2024 at his home. Ron was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on December 30th, 1955, the son of Ronald and Sharon (Shotwell) Churchard.

He was a graduate of Creston High School. He was a kind and gentle man. Ron loved his family and his beautiful bull terriers, Sophie, Truvy, and Rowdy, deeply. He was a wonderful uncle to his nieces and nephews.  He was a master landscaper and had a beautiful yard. He could be goofy, was a lover of animals, and loved trading books with his niece Emily. He gave the best and most special gifts to those he loved often just because.

He is survived by his brothers Tom (Karen) and Joe and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Gary, John, and Michael, sister Cheri Baughman, father, Ronald Churchard, Sr. and mother Sharon K. Shotwell.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kent County Animal Shelter in his honor in lieu of flowers.
