Roger George Siebert, known lovingly as Roger to his friends and family, passed away on June 29, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on September 22, 1958, in Belleville, Illinois, Roger's life was marked by strength, humor, and a deep love for those around him.
Roger grew up in Michigan and graduated from Cedar Springs High School. He went on to serve his country proudly in the United States Army, earning an honorable discharge. His time in the military shaped his character, instilling in him a strong sense of duty, discipline, and resilience.
After his service, Roger returned to Cedar Springs and channeled his leadership and entrepreneurial spirit into founding the Classic Fence Company. He later worked for Grand Rapids Lightning, where he built lasting friendships and was known for his reliability and wit.
Roger had a deep love for the outdoors. He found peace and pride in maintaining his yard, especially in tending to his roses and flowers. He was also an avid Harley-Davidson rider, often hitting the open road with close friends, sharing stories, laughter, and the thrill of adventure. A devoted cat lover, Roger found joy and comfort in their companionship. His hobbies included coin collecting and curating an impressive collection of fishing poles. Roger's love for rock 'n' roll—always played at full volume—reflected his vibrant spirit. He was known for his sharp mind, hands-on problem-solving, and a sense of humor that could brighten any room.
Roger is survived by his devoted wife, Cynthia Pawlicki-Siebert; his ex-wife Laura Siebert. His daughter Tonya preceded him in death, surviving children are Bob, Angie and Liz, stepchildren are Autum and Brad; and surviving are numerous grandchildren and step grandchildren. He is also fondly remembered by his sister-in-law, Theresa, and her husband, Steve Borst, along with many extended family members and friends who were touched by his warmth, wisdom, and generous heart.
Roger leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a life lived with purpose. Though he may be gone, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
