Obituary

aylor, Roger Lee 9/24/1951 - 5/21/2022 Allegan It is with broken hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Roger Lee Kaylor on Saturday, May 21, 2022. Roger was born on September 24, 1951 to Ray and Bertha Kaylor in Allegan, Michigan. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, his son Joshua Kaylor, his grandson, Aaron Elliston and sister-in-law, Kathy Kaylor. Roger loved farming and especially raising cattle since he was a young man. He won Grand Champion steer at the Allegan County Fair when he was in high school. Roger raised Charolais cattle. He named every animal born on the farm and could tell just by looking at the cow or calf what their name was. While babysitting in the summer, Roger spent time with a granddaughter showing her how to break a calf to lead. One of his greatest pleasures was showing the grandchildren the baby cows. Surviving are his daughters Kendra Elliston and Brandy Kaylor; two step children he helped raise as his own, Beth (Christian) Deuel and Michael (Christina) Billman; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Roger is survived by his 8 siblings; Janet McBride, Daniel Kaylor, Jerry (Connie) Kaylor, Timothy Kaylor, Robert (Linda) Kaylor, Bruce Kaylor, Paul Kaylor, and Patti Kaylor. We will share stories of Roger and celebrate his life on Friday, June 24 from 4pm to 7pm at Trowbridge Township Hall, 913 M-40 South, Allegan, MI. A luncheon will be served at 5:30pm. Private burial with the family will be held at Lindsley Cemetery at a later date. Service Details.
