Roger Dean Griffith of Kalamazoo, MI (formerly of Richland, MI) died peacefully at home on May 23rd, 2023. He was born to Ebbie and Molly (Morris) Griffith on February 20, 1950 in Allegan, MI.

Roger was born the oldest of four children. He was a 1969 graduate of Martin High School. Roger was married to Roxanne D. Barker on July 21, 1973. Roger was proud of his military service, which included one year in Vietnam and six years of active reserve. He worked at AeroMotive Manufacturing for 27 years and briefly for the Village of Richland before retiring.

In his spare time Roger enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He also enjoyed woodworking, family vacations, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Roger also got a kick out of small children believing he was Santa Claus year round due to his distinct Santa-Like beard and appearance.

Roger is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Roxanne Griffith; his loving children Glenn R. (Kim) Griffith, Gregory D. Griffith, Betsy M. (Ruben) Toscano; grandchildren Alexia (14), Olivia (13), and Charlotte (6). He is also survived by three sisters Char (Ray) Brown, Kathy (Dave) LaFountain and Tish (Mike) Rohlfing, best friends Kevin and Tina Baker, and his beloved cats, Little Kitty, Jimmy, and Lucy. Roger was preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to thank everyone that helped with Roger's care over the years. A special thank you to Centrica Care Navigators for making his final days more comfortable at home.

There will be a graveside service at Ft. Custer National Cemetery on June 9th at 10:30am. A luncheon for family and friends will immediately follow at Parchment United Methodist Church 225 Glendale Blvd Parchment, MI.
