Roenita Kay Sanchez, 63, passed on October 29th, 2021. She went peacefully in her sleep. She was born October 9th, 1958 to the home of Jake and Gracie (Gurley) Nix.

She was a very caring person with many talents. She moved around in her life but always called Portales New Mexico home where most of her family resided.

Roenita is survived by her brother Jerry Nix of Portales, NM, her son Cody and wife Amber of Michigan, her daughter Veronica and husband Aaron of Texas, 10 grandchildren, Gracie, Sean and Caleb of Melrose, NM, Tae and Julie Ann of Portales, NM, Cade, Micheyla, Madtison, CJ (Cody), Jacob all of Michigan, and many nieces and nephews, along with great nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by both of her parents and her beloved sister Triva Norman. The family will not be holding a service due to everyone being so spread apart.

The honorary Pall Bearers will include Nathan Wood, Justin Norman, Jerrett Norman, JT Norman, Jodi Nix, and all other family and friends.
