Robin Lynn Smith, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 12, 1956, Robin was known for her adventurous spirit and zest for life.
Robin married Robert Smith, the love of her life, in 2009. Together, they blended their families and created a home filled with love and laughter. Before her retirement, Robin was a dedicated worker who touched many lives with her kindness and generosity. Her dedication and hard work were evident in every aspect of her professional and personal life.
As a mother and grandmother, Robin was the best you could ask for. She was deeply involved in her children's and grandchildren's lives, providing unwavering support and love. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
In retirement, Robin embraced life with enthusiasm. She loved traveling, spending time with friends, and hosting memorable holiday gatherings. Known among her friends as one of "the crazy ladies," Robin's vibrant personality and infectious smile brought joy to everyone around her. She had a deep love for the river, her dog Marlie, and boat rides, reflecting her connection with nature and the outdoors.
Robin was preceded in death by her mother, Deloria Goodblood; brother, Dennis Goodblood; and stepson, David (Andrea) Smith. She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Smith, who lovingly cared for her throughout her illness. Robin also leaves behind her cherished children: Traci (Cody) Francis and Randall (Sarah) Middleton; stepchildren: Jason (Mandy) Smith, Stephanie (Rey) Moerland, and Darrel J. (Emily) Smith; and her adored grandchildren: Meliena, Brenden, Jasmine, Emma, Jayden, McKenzee, Layne, Reynold Jr, Lincoln, Oryon, Cohen, Maverick, Rowen, Aria, and Logan.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Robin's memory and the profound impact she had on those who knew her.
Psalm 23: "The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. He restores my soul. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me, all the days of my life, And I shall dwell in the house of the LORD, forever."
Robin's legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire and comfort her family and friends, who will dearly miss her.
