Roberto "Bunker Bob"
Casarez
January 26, 1946 – April 29, 2026
Roberto Aleman Casarez, age 80, passed away quietly on April 29th 2026. He is survived by his loving wife Denise, 3 children, 2 stepchildren, 7 grandchildren, 1 sister, 2 brothers, and all of their spouses. Robert was born to Secilio and Dominga Casarez on January 26, 1946 in Mt. Pleasant MI.
Robert proudly served in the US Army during Vietnam and retired from the US Postal Service. His love for family is what guided him and he worked tirelessly to provide for them. Next to spending time with his family, his passion was the game of golf. His love for this game earned him the nickname “Bunker Bob”. In fact many locals only knew him as Bunker. His love for this game eventually led him and Denise to retire in Mississippi so he could play it 365 days a year. Bunker also fancied himself a teacher of this game he loved so much so, that he tried to teach it to everyone he knew. Whether they wanted to or not.
The one thing more important to him than this game was his family. Spending time with them is what made him happiest. He was so proud of his wife, children and grandchildren. He gave everything to them that he possibly could. Bob had a fantastic sense of humor and loved hard. He instilled that in his children and taught them the importance of family, a hard day's work, and enjoying life to the fullest.
Bunker was truly one of a kind and he will be forever missed.
