Robert Stephan Wieckowski, 77, of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Florence, AZ passed away on Sunday, March 3rd, 2019. Robert was born on June 20th, 1941, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Stephan and Margaret (Burcik) Wieckowski who predeceased him. Robert is survived by his wife Margaret, his daughters Karen (Tim) Green of Portland, MI, Cheryl (Steve) Grames of Sterling Heights, MI, and Melissa (Jeff) Anderson of Plainwell, MI ; grandchildren Trevor (Kayla) Green, Troy (Allison) Green, Nikki (Jared) Green, Caitlin (fiancé Alex) Grames, Merritt Grames, and Jack Anderson; great-grandkids Tucker and Turner Green, and Weslynn and Layne Green; and brother Leonard (Judy) Wieckowski of Orlando, FL. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Airforce. He loved the mechanical aspects of aviation and retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as an air-worthiness flight inspector. For many years, Robert enjoyed golf and hunting (particularly bow hunting for bear). Robert and Maggie wintered in Arizona and spent their time off-roading in the desert marveling at the unique animals and landscape and enjoying the weather. He also enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grandkids. He was especially fond of his four great- grandbabies. The family will hold a celebration of Robert's life later in the summer.
