Robert C. Welch (AKA Bob) of Portage, Michigan, age 86, passed away November 09, 2022. He was
born to Donald and Geneieve (Vallier) Welch on December 04, 1935, in Kalamazoo, MI.

Robert was born the youngest of four children in Kalamazoo Michigan. Robert was married to Bonnie
Welch for sixty-five years. Robert and Bonnie Welch would be celebrating their sixty-six anniversary
November 23rd of 2022.
Robert loved to spend time with his wife Bonnie, his three children Robert Welch Jr. Steven Welch, and
his daughter Pamela and Husband Jerry Carpenter . Robert loved his GrandChildren Robert C. Welch
III, Summer Flynn, Stephanie Angelo, Tonya Methner, Ashley Hernandez and Stevie Welch II. Robert
was blessed to know and love his great grandchildren, he loved the wonderful pictures they would draw
and the hugs they would share.
In his free time, Robert Welch Sr. would enjoy watching the Lions and the Tiger Games with his two
sons. Robert loved all his beautiful children. He loved talking about the Korean War with his daughter
Pamela, and Son In-law Jerry. Robert enjoyed the beach towns with his beautiful wife Bonnie, and her
fabulous cooking. His favorite meal was her spaghetti and homemade meatballs which the secret
recipe came from his mother Geneieve. Robert loved to brag about his wife Bonnie's homemade pies.
Robert (Bob) loved to fill Bonnie with compliments about her beauty, cooking and her decorating.
Robert loved the way she decorated the house for the holidays. Robert had a heart of gold, and always
shared his love, and expressed it well to his Family. Robert was a christian and loved the Lord Jesus
with all his heart and soul.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife of sixty-five years Bonnie Lou (Jenkins) Welch; loving
children Robert Welch Jr., Pamela (Welch) Carpenter, Steven Welch, and his beautiful
grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the VA for honoring Robert C. Welch Sr. as a veteran of the
foreign wars as a Koren Veteran. The Veteran Administration will honor Robert C. Welch Sr.
with a full military service. Robert C. Welch Sr. will be buried at the Fort Custer Veteran
