Robert Louis Ward, age 81 of Grand Rapids, passed away on October 14, 2025, He was born on February 14,1944 in Fremont, Michigan to Fred & Juanita (Wright) Ward.

Robert spent much of his life as a mechanic, fixing whatever needed to be fixed. He enjoyed his family immensely and always had a special way of making people laugh. He was truly an optimist.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Debra (Frank) Ward, who he married on July 27, 1973; by his son, Jason (Alexandra) Ward and late daughter, Jody Ward; grandson, Daniel Ward; sisters: Patricia Fedore, Jeri Esakson, Diana Johnson, Rita Vaughan; and many nieces & nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dan Ward; and sister, Carol Fuller.

Interment will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont, Michigan.
