A man who works with his hands is a laborer; a man who works with his hands and his brain is a craftsman; but, a man who works with his hands, his brain, and his heart is an artist. Robert Thompson, age 70, was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI. He decided to pack up his tools and journey into full retirement on December 18th, 2017. Robert was an amazing father to his children: Jonathon and Audree. He was a very loving, devoted grandfather to: Justin, Christopher, Evan, Hunter, Melody and Leah. He was known to be the bestest of friends and greatest of confidants. His sense of humor, soft voice, strength and admiration will never be forgotten. He was preceded in death by his parents; Harry and Hazel Thompson; brother, William Thompson; sister, Patricia Collins. Robert is survived by his brother and sister, James Thompson and Jeanne Austhof. The family will be having a celebration of life on, Friday, December 29, 2017, at the American Legion Post 154 located at: 2327 Byron Center Ave SW, Wyoming, MI 49519 from 2:00-3:30 pm.
