Robert (Bob) Jousma, age 74, of Jenison, MI, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday May 9, 2024. Bob was born on November 5,1949, to Howard and Shirley  (Link) Jousma in Grand Rapids, MI. He graduated from Caledonia High  School, Class of 1968.

On May 1, 1971, Bob married his beloved wife, Dianna (Dodds) Jousma. They moved  to Jenison, MI in 1988 where they raised their family. Bob dedicated most of his career to Steelcase, where he worked for 23 years, alongside his roles at G&T Industries, Knoll Industries, and Penn Hurst.

Bob enjoyed attending concerts from The Animals to ZZ Top. Bob was also a very passionate hockey fan and could be found at The Van Andel Arena cheering on The Grand Rapids Griffins or at home cheering on The Detroit Red Wings. He enjoyed the thrill of Indy Car Racing too, turning Memorial Weekend into a Family Celebration for his favorite Race Game and cookout.

Bob was an Enthusiast of Dungeons and Dragons, He brought his family together for many Adventures in the game, even drawing in his daughter and out-of-town relatives. He had a deep appreciation for The Civil War history, leading him to visit numerous battlefields. In his downtime, Bob was an avid reader, particularly enjoying the works of Clive Cussler.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Howard Jousma, and his sister and brother in law, Debanie (Roy) Fogg.

He is survived by his mother, Shirley Jousma, his wife Dianna Jousma, his daughter, Amber (Matt) Danders, and his Granddaughters, Matelyn, Makayla,and Makinly Danders. He is also survived by his siblings, Dick (Karen) Jousma, Sandy (Chuck) Ward, Pam (Don) Vandermeer, and Curtis Jousma.

A Celebration of Bob's Life will be held on May 29,2024 from 6-9pm. At The Moose Lodge in Wyoming #763. The event will feature a Taco Bar, Cash Bar, and a DJ. In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association Are appreciated.
